What Is A Sibling Doula?

A sibling doula is a trained professional who offers emotional and practical support to children during the birth of a new sibling. From preparing them ahead of time to staying by their side while you're in labor, a sibling doula makes sure your child feels secure, informed, and cared for throughout the experience.

This may include:

  • Age-appropriate explanations

  • Fun, familiar routines and engaging activities

  • Reassurance, gentle guidance, and emotional validation

  • Accompanying siblings to the birth center or hospital (if preferred)

  • Caring for siblings and home and maintaining usual schedule

  • The goal? To help your child feel like a special and supported part of this major family milestone.

Two-hour in-home introductory visit with your child (you’re welcome to stay or step out!)

24/7 on-call availability for labor

Arts & crafts or gift-making activity for the new baby

Photos and updates for parents while in labor

Reassurance and gentle emotional support for your child

Prenatal yoga, meditations, breathwork and informative videos for Mama

24-48 hours of continuous care

(additional hours available as needed)

All services are personalized to your family’s dynamics and your child’s comfort level.

How Much Does Sibling Doula Cost?

Sibling Doula Services:

$1,000 for 24 hours

$1,950 for 48 hours

Additional Hours: $45/hour
